This approach saves time and keeps your voice consistent. Here’s how to build a content batch workflow in Notion—no fancy plugins required.
### Why batch?
Think about the last time you got into a flow state. You probably didn’t reach it in fifteen minutes. Batching gives you the space to get deep into your creative zone, so your ideas come faster and your quality improves. Plus, when you plan ahead, you can schedule posts for peak times without scrambling.
### The simple database
Start with a database called “Content Calendar.” Each entry is a piece of content: a blog post, Instagram post, newsletter, or video. Include properties like Status (Idea, Drafting, Final, Scheduled), Platform, and Schedule Date.
Then create a view by Status. When you sit down to batch, filter for “Idea” and start drafting. Once you finish a draft, change its status to “Ready to Schedule.” This gives you a clear visual of your progress.
### A weekly rhythm
Try this: Monday morning, spend 30 minutes brainstorming ideas—just titles and hooks. Wednesday, write the first drafts. Friday, polish and schedule everything using a tool like Later or Buffer. That’s three focused sessions, and you’re done for the week.
